Founder and President
Dave Braness
Dave is a third generation pest management professional with over 20 years’ experience. Before devoting his efforts fulltime to DataWave, Dave held leadership positions in multiple facets of the Life Sciences industry which provides a vast understanding of all aspects; service, sales, marketing, research and management. Dave holds a B.S. degree in business from Arizona State and an MBA from North Carolina.
Dave currently resides in Raleigh, North Carolina with his wife, Heidi, and two daughters.
Technical Research Director
Gary Braness, Ph.D.
Gary Braness is a second generation pest management professional with extensive experience in research and product development. He holds a Ph.D. in urban and industrial entomology from Purdue University.
Gary worked as an assistant entomologist at the University of Illinois where he gathered information on pesticide use under the Pesticide Impact Assessment Program. He then returned to the family pest management business in Minnesota, where he worked for seven years and developed a new branch office. During his 21 year career with Bayer, he held various positions in field research and development and also served as a product development manager. Gary participated in the development and technical support for many products currently used by pest management professionals. He is the author of book chapters on Insecticide and Pesticide Safety in the eighth, ninth and tenth editions of the Mallis Handbook of Pest Control.
Gary and his wife, Ann reside in Fresno, CA and have four children and nine grandchildren.

Pedrom Rejai
Pedrom has vast experience in engineering and manufacturing various products and recently he has worked on connecting the bridge between ideation of new products and supply chain delivery. Pedrom has a chemical engineering degree from Nebraska, his Project Management Professional (PMP) license, and an MBA from North Carolina, where he worked on the consulting team (STAR Program) that helped kickstart DataWave. He is passionate about bringing clarity to complex situations, so data-driven decisions are made.
Pedrom lives in Chicago with his wife and two young sons. He serves on the board of a local non-profit and volunteers with Junior Achievement, teaching work readiness, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship to students in underprivileged areas of Chicago.
