Gary Braness, Ph.D.
Gary Braness is a second generation pest management professional with extensive experience in research and product development. He holds a Ph.D. in urban and industrial entomology from Purdue University.
Gary worked as an assistant entomologist at the University of Illinois where he gathered information on pesticide use under the Pesticide Impact Assessment Program. He then returned to the family pest management business in Minnesota, where he worked for seven years and developed a new branch office. During his 21 year career with Bayer, he held various positions in field research and development and also served as a product development manager. Gary participated in the development and technical support for many products currently used by pest management professionals. He is the author of book chapters on Insecticide and Pesticide Safety in the eighth, ninth and tenth editions of the Mallis Handbook of Pest Control.
Gary and his wife, Ann reside in Fresno, CA and have four children and nine grandchildren.
